The F2 Centre and Enterprise Management Board was established in June 2010 as the successor to the Fatima Regeneration Board. The Regeneration Board had been responsible since 2001 for overseeing the physical, social and economic regeneration of Fatima Mansions.
With the physical project largely complete and substantial progress achieved in relation to improving the social conditions of local residents, it was agreed that a successor structure would be required to consolidate the gains made in the regeneration process, promote social integration between existing and new residents and to manage the community and enterprise facilities which have been provided as part of the regeneration infrastructure. The Disability Federation of Ireland (D.F.I.) held their 2012 AGM in the F2 Centre in May. Following this, Prof. Gerard Quinn, NUI Galway, Dr. Bláithín Gallagher, National Council for the Blind and Eddie Molloy, Ph.D. addressed attendees.
D.F.I were extremely happy with the day and the F2 Centre staff and facilities, including that of our Café Togo @F2 adding that the Centre and its services was great value for money!
The Café, which is being operated by the F2 Centre here in Fatima/Herberton in partnership with the Café Togo chain provides a great selection of hot food, drinks and snacks in a relaxed setting with free wifi!
